At My Best® Play Day

When is At My Best® Play Day?

At My Best® Play Day will officially take place on June 9th, 2011. Celebrate Play Day with your school on June 9th, or any other day that is convenient for your school!

Who can Participate?

At My Best® schools and teachers are eligible to register online for At My Best® Play Day.

Get your students' families involved! A strong connection between learning at school and home makes learning at school more meaningful, real and enduring for students. The At My Best® Family Passport Challenge will encourage families to lead physically active, healthy lives as they complete their family activity passport.

How to register?

Register your class or school to receive your Free At My Best® Play Day toolkit prepared by PHE Canada. Teachers that register their class or school for Play Day will have a chance to win 1 0f 10 Springfree™ Trampolines for their school! Each student participating in At My Best® Play Day will help to move Rae across Canada! You can also register your students in the Family Passport Challenge when you register your school online on or prior to May 15th, 2011.

Teachers will receive a Free copy of the At My Best® Play Day toolkit to help teachers, schools and administrators plan and celebrate their students overall wellness through a healthy day of fun activities. The toolkit will serve as a guide to your planning. Whenever possible, include your students in the planning of your celebration. Find out which schools are participating in Canada.

At My Best® challenges families to complete 10 of the 15 activities within the Family Passport. Once families have completed 10 activities they will be eligible to win 1 of 3 Springfree™ Trampolines. One passport per student will be provided.

Please note: Deadline for Play Day Registration is May 15th, 2011. Teachers/Schools are still welcome to register after this date but will not recieve participant ribbons for students.

Do you remember Rae the Star?

Rae was on her journey through the galaxy to become a shining star. On her journey to becoming a shining star, Rae discovers that food, feelings and physical activity are bound together and how we feel often determines our choices. Now you and your student’s can watch Rae the Star travel across Canada by making your own healthy choices. For every student and family that takes part in the At My Best® Play Day and/or the Family Passport Challenge, Rae the Star will move across Canada!

Why participate in At My Best® Play Day?

At My Best® Play Day has been developed by Physical and Health Education Canada (PHE Canada), with generous support from Astra Zeneca Canada, to celebrate students healthy living. Celebrate the new things students have learned in concluding the At My Best® program or celebrate as a "kick-start" of new habits, involving healthy choices and physical activity into the future. The At My Best® Play Day may include your class, the entire school or even your school community.
