Invite the Media

At My Best® Play Day on June 7th will serve as a celebratory event to recognize the wellness program across Canada. Taking part in At My Best® Play Day is an important opportunity for your school to demonstrate that it cares about the health of its students, staff and families. Take the time to invite local media to your event in order to write a story, take pictures or capture footage, and share your event with the rest of the community.

Media Advisory Template

The link below will take you to the At My Best® Play Day Media Advisory Template. Please fill in the brackets with the required information and send via email and fax to your local media contacts well in advance of your event. This will give media an opportunity to respond and plan for a visit. Follow up with a phone call and/or email to your local contacts on June 7th to confirm if they will be attending and to remind them of the activity that is taking place that day.

HINT: To find your local media contacts, visit the 'Contact Us' section of your community newspaper or radio station web site or simply give them a quick phone call and ask who the best person to contact is.
